About Center of Mathematics for Application

The Center of Mathematics for Application (CMA) is a research lab at the National University of Mongolia. Our mission is to advance applied mathematics and to connect rigorous mathematical theory with problems arising in science, engineering, and industry. Our research spans optimization, numerical analysis, differential equations, probability and statistics, and the mathematical foundations of data science. We collaborate with domestic and international partners on projects ranging from resource modeling to machine learning. The center runs weekly reading seminars and study groups, open to motivated students across NUM. We are located in Room 517 on the 5th floor of the E-Library of NUM — prospective students are always welcome to visit or get in touch.
